2008 Invictas Schedule

• Wednesday May 14th The Invictas will play at The Lilac Festival in Highland Park from 5pm to 6pm. The band will perform just prior to Jay and The Americans. A video crew for the Rock Till Ya Drop TV show will be there and you could end up on TV! The Lilac festival is Rochester's largest and oldest festival and promises to be a lot of fun. Hope you'll join us for all the fun.

Rock Till Ya Drop is a TV show and entertainment concept being produced by Herb Gross, of The Invictas. Shooting for the TV show started during April in Florida.

Invictas rock 'n roll shows for the public have been scarce this summer and we miss having fun with all of you. Part of the problem has been the economy, and part is due to Herb's focus on producing the TV and entertainment show Rock Till Ya Drop. Perhaps next summer, The Invictas can have shows sponsored by businesses. We know there are lots of people who want to dance and party to the sound of the band. After all, The Invictas are America's Party Rock 'N Roll Band, and per the TODAY SHOW, The Invictas may be America's oldest and most successful garage band.

• Saturday August 9th The Invictas are playing at a private party for The Irondequoit High School Class of 68 reunion. The party will be at the Durand Eastman Clubhouse (Jack's Place) in Irondequoit (Rochester NY). The Invictas play from 8:00 till 11:00 pm. The Invictas merchandise tent will be set up, and we'll rock the crowd making everyone feel like they're in high school again..

• Sunday August 10 The Invictas will appear at Tinkers, a fun bar in Auburn NY. Tinkers is owned by John Mortimore, a long time Invicta fan. John opened Tinker's last year at 78 Franklin Street in Auburn. He puts on a great show to benefit The Matthew House in Auburn. The Invictas will rock from 5:00 till 8:30 pm. It's a fun event, big tent, large stage, lots of room for dancing, great food and lots of beverages.

• Saturday October 11 The Invictas return to RIT, the college the band members attended during the 60's. RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) has grown to become an internationally respected college. The event is their alumni gathering and it promises to be a great party. The invictas will take the stage from 5:00 pm till about 6:30. If you went to RIT, don't miss this event. The Invictas will really rock and everyone will have a great time.

Some trivia:
The name The Invictas was due to a brain storming session Herb had with friends at RIT. The band needed a new name and The Invictas was mentioned because Buick had a car out called The Invicta. Today, Buick has developed a prototype called The Invicta. Who knows, maybe there will be a new car called The Invicta. It's a sleek looking design. You can Google The Buick Invicta to see what it looks like.
